Dr. Danish Muhammad Sami completed his MBBS from King Edward Medical College – Lahore, Pakistan in 2000. In 2006, he achieved his Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS, UK), followed by Membership (2007) and Fellowship (2011) of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (MRCEM, FRCEM, UK). In 2011, he earned his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Emergency Medicine from the General Medical Council (GMC), UK. He is currently completing his MBA in Healthcare Management at the Carey Business School, Johns Hopkins University, USA, with expected graduation in 2024.
Dr. Danish began his medical career with multiple Senior House Officer roles across top UK hospitals in general surgery, neurosurgery, trauma and orthopedics, and intensive care. He later completed his Emergency Medicine residency and fellowship rotations at hospitals including Royal London Hospital, Royal Free Hospital, and Homerton Hospital. From 2011 to 2014, he served as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Medway Maritime Hospital, Kent, UK. In 2014, he moved to Abu Dhabi to continue his clinical practice as Consultant Emergency Medicine at Mafraq Hospital, and later at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), a Mayo Clinic-partnered hospital. Currently, he is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Salma Rehabilitation Hospital.
Dr. Danish’s areas of expertise include emergency care operations, patient safety leadership, emergency ultrasound, trauma management, and clinical governance. He is passionate about quality improvement initiatives and has led multiple hospital-wide patient safety and quality improvement projects, significantly advancing standards of care.
Dr. Danish is an active member of the Emirates Society of Emergency Medicine's Scientific Committee, an examiner for the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (UK), and an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) instructor. He is a licensed Consultant by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi.
