Dr. Ayman Mahmoud Farhan Sayed Ahmed completed his MBBCh from the Faculty of Medicine at Cairo University – Cairo, Egypt in 1995. In 2010, he earned his Master’s Degree in Critical Care Medicine from the same university. He is also pursuing a Professional Diploma in Infectious Disease from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, expected in 2024.
Dr. Ayman began his medical career as an ICU Specialist at Cairo University Hospital in 2003. During this period, he also served as the Leader of the Code Blue Team and concurrently worked as an ICU Specialist at the National Bank Hospital – Cairo and As Salam International Hospital – Cairo. His responsibilities included managing acute and critical cases, supervising emergency interventions, and mentoring junior staff.
In 2011, Dr. Ayman relocated to the United Arab Emirates and joined Zayed Military Hospital – Abu Dhabi as an ICU Specialist. He continued his practice at NMC Royal Hospital – Abu Dhabi, where he served as the Head of the ICU Department from 2016 to 2022, overseeing critical care operations, intensive patient management, and multidisciplinary coordination.
In 2022, he joined Salma Rehabilitation Hospital – Abu Dhabi as an ICU Specialist, focusing on post-acute care for chronically ill patients requiring advanced critical care interventions. He then worked at Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital – Ras Al Khaimah before transitioning to Burjeel Royal Hospital – Al Ain in 2024, where he currently practices as an ICU Specialist.
Dr. Ayman’s areas of expertise include advanced airway and hemodynamic management, mechanical ventilation, bedside procedures such as intubation, central and arterial line insertions, percutaneous tracheostomy, Doppler ultrasound, and echocardiography. He also has strong experience in managing neurological, cardiovascular, and post-operative ICU cases, along with providing leadership in clinical audits, patient safety, and education.
Dr. Ayman holds medical licenses from the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (HAAD), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Ministry of Health (MOH – UAE), and the Egyptian Medical Syndicate. He speaks Arabic and English fluently.
